Just a helping hand

Hypnotherapy and regression
Suppose there is something of which you really know you should unlearn it, such as smoking or drinking too much. But somehow you don't succeed in stopping or diminishing your use. Or you have an unaccountable fear, while you see that others do not have this fear, and you want to know why you suffer from this and would like to get rid of it as soon as possible. Fear of speaking, fear of failure and nosophobia are also examples of problems that can very well be dealt with in Hypnotherapy.
In all these cases and even many more, also physical problems, Hypnotherapy can help.
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is in fact a light trance that can be compared to being wholly absorbed by a book. Regression may be included in a session for Hypnotherapy, if it is necessary. This involves searching for the source of your current problem, which in many cases will lie in the past. As soon as it has been discovered, you will learn, often in the same session to deal with your problem in such a manner that you can lead a happier life.
What happens during a session?
When you arrive in the practice, we start with an informal conversation, in which you tell me what you want to work on. If you are motivated to set to work, I help you to relax, so that a direct contact with your subconscious can be effected. The hypnotherapy can begin. You will mostly need a number of such sessions, while you will also work on it at home, to learn and to practice that which is on your wish list.
What is hypnosis not?
You may have seen a so-called hypnotist on television, who hypnotises people and then makes them do all sorts of idiotic things. This is all deception. The victims (for that is what they are) are people who make themselves available easily, often because at home they do not get any or insufficient attention, love, and who enjoy very much to be the centre of attention now. ] Please allow me to tell you one thing: a person who gets up from her chair and walks around is not hypnotised. She knows exactly what day it is and what she is doing. The only exception to this is the somnambulist: During their sleep they get up and walk around. This is however something that can never be effected by a hypnotist. At any rate not by me ;-) Hypnotherapy is meant to help you, not to make a fool out of you. The therapist treats you with respect.
